Without Hakaze’s healing magic, this story would had turned into tragedy multiple times already.
Now that’s the cutest reaction of Aika so far.
Hakaze returns to the “present” time with two envelopes of final messages from Aika to Yoshino and Mahiro. Surprisingly, Yoshino and Mahiro took Hakaze’s explanation very calmly. Everything went smooth, until Megumu snapped and beat them up for having “inhuman reaction” towards Aika’s suicide decision. At the very least, Hakaze’s meeting with Aika gets the group to agree on one thing: Tree of Genesis must be destroyed. It certainly is weird, seeing how they act as team-mates now, after almost killing each other in the first half of the series.
Now the story must move on to the next challenge: destroying Tree of Genesis. Countries of G8 have decided to protect Tree of Genesis, and they put military protection around the core of Tree of Genesis. Mage of Exodus is the only person who can actually defeats Tree of Genesis, and he must do it without harming all military personnel protecting its core.
And… Mahiro steps up again with a plan. I guess Mahiro-Yoshino duo is indeed the key in ending the story.
Now we get another flashback. Aika’s first meeting with Mahiro and Yoshino is rather cute and innocent.
Overall, this episode feels rather calm, especially after action-packed episode last week. Nonetheless it serves a proper “closure” to Mahiro’s revenge path and start a good build up towards next episode.
