Hakaze, returned to the past.
Hakaze and Aika, first contact.
Fuwa Aika, the real Mage of Exodus.
The big plan to return to the past. Though Hakaze announced to everyone that she went back to find out Fuwa Aika’s killer, she admitted to Samon and Junichiro that she might have to kill Aika herself, if there’s a reason to do so. As much as I don’t find this possibility surprising, it kinda caught me off-guard knowing that Hakaze is well aware of this possibility (and mentally prepared for it), even before her actual time travel.
I always knew that the fact Hakaze didn’t find Samon’s hidden offering when she tried to escape from the island (and used a missile sent by Tree of Genesis instead) must have some meaning. And yes, it’s true. Hakaze’s idea to return to the past is using the same “flesh and bone separation” trick she used before. So she went back to past, arrived at the island, find Samon’s offering, then used the offering to travel to Fuwa Aika’s place.
For 19 episode, we only get to see Aika from random flashbacks. Those are Aika from Mahiro and Yoshino’s perspective. Now that we get to see Aika without the two boys, we get to see a VERY different side of her. After a rather awkward first encounter, Hakaze escaped to a building’s roof, and… suddenly Aika is also there. Then we have another big revelation: Aika is the real Mage of Exodus. As much as I already guessed about it, once again I was still surprised anyway looking how fast she openly declares herself with the identity to Hakaze. More than just “an innocent” person who happen to be Mage of Exodus, Aika is well aware of her power, and her identity, and has no fear to go hostile in her first meeting with Princess of Genesis.
