Interesting development so far. Hakaze continues to “train” Megumu. Yoshino finally meets Mahiro, admit “the big secret”, and things are surprisingly went well.
I kinda like the theory of the Tree of Genesis being a secret weapon sent from outer space to prevent our technology from advancing to become possible threat in space. Evangeline probably watches too much Star Trek, but that is certainly possible. We just haven’t found the answer why such a “weapon” need a human (Hakaze) to control.
Anyway, it’s cute to see how Hakaze is now very open about her feeling towards Yoshino. Her attempt to be flirty is… commendable =)
The plan to return to the past to reveal Aika’s killer is somehow not a surprise for me. Indeed time travel is a seriously overused idea in so many movies, but it fits perfectly in this anime. Not to mention that Hakaze already did it once to escape from that island. I highly suspect the time travel will reveal something totally unpredicted… like… maybe it is actually Hakaze herself who caused Aika’s death, maybe not on purpose.
