Tytania begins with arrival of a fleet in the Cerberus Territory. Leads by Duke Aryabhata Tytania who was famous as being courageous and never loses before in the Flagship Golden Sheep, they come to subjugate Euria, a city state in the star system. On the other side of the conflict, Euria sent Admiral Fan Hyulic, someone without previous noticeable battle accolade, to mount a token of resistance.

On the other side of the galaxy, the three remaining Dukes of Tytania and the current Landless Lord were going down to planet Luttisch, the seat of the Vardhana Empire, to celebrate the 36th birthday of Emperor Harsha VI. We were treated with view of hidden resentment and animosity from the other nobles of the court toward the clan. Apparently Tytania is one of the subjects of the Empire but the whole galaxy is controlled by this clan with their economic and military might. Not even the (puppet) Emperor can do anything, as proved when Idris Tytania shot the Imperial Chancellor before the Emperor’s own eyes under pretense of executing a traitor.

Back to Uraniborg, Tytania’ stronghold hovering above planet Luttisch, battle progress from the Cerberus System was being displayed live both for general public and the four Lords of Tytania. Here we were told that Euria refused to hand over a technology that can bring great wealth to its possessor, hence the need for the current military campaign.

In the Cerberus System, the two fleets meet and immediately result in heavy casualties on the Euria side. Just as Tytania’s fleet about to completely surround the Eurian’s fleet, Fan Hyulic pulled an empty fort trick and then Euria’s remaining ships shed their camouflage, revealing weapon known as Weiglet Cannons.  Weigelt Cannons known to be packing quite a power but they explode after firing for the first time. Faced by new revelation that Tytania have been tricked to a dangerous position, Duke Aryabhata ordered swift retreat. Too late; as the cannons fired, the beams ignited and destroyed most of Tytania’s ships in the vicinity, with the Golden Sheep escaped by mere skin of its tail.

A fairly straightforward episode; Fan Hyulic did his homework, his strategy was based from Tytania’s known methods to deal with dissidents. From the conversation in the viewing room as four Lords of Tytania followed the battle progress, we have been given impression that Joulain is the kind of person that will give chance for the enemy to surrender (I am getting Siegfried Kircheis’s vibe here) while Zalisch prefers to annihilate them immediately. Two different line of thought, we will delve deeper into Tytania’s psyche in the next episode.
