Our heroines are still taking care of Febri. I had a good laugh watching Mikoto’s effort to get her pink Gekota back, offering one, then two, then three, then ten Gekota finger-puppets to get the pink one, lol.
Next they take Febri to a restaurant. Then they go to public bath together, with a little bad luck for Kuroko. No bath-with-onee-sama for her this time.
A little bonding time makes Mikoto sees Febri as a younger sister. And suddenly the pink Gekota now officially belong to Febri after Misaka gives it to her.
The “experiment” mentioned in last episode by a bunch of people with laptops and lab coats takes place next. I couldn’t understand how they didn’t suspect anything with all those strange signs? Those are clearly fake signs to redirect them to the “experiment” location.
And so a robot appears and attacks the group. This robot is immune to Mikoto’s electricity control. While Mikoto’s fight is pretty much just started, the robot suddenly stops moving at the same time as Febri loses consciousness. Then Kongou comes out, a bit late, but she’s been helpful enough this episode by being the ones hearing about that suspicious student talking about “reclaiming” Febri.
The robot has no pilot and no battery. The same condition as the cleaning robots who attacked Febri in previous episode. So our “scientist” villains this time can control a robot without battery. That’s interesting.
The fainted Febri is brought to hospital, then transferred to a bigger hospital since the doctors don’t know what’s wrong with Febri. The “bigger” hospital is the one where that frog-faced doctor works. And in the next morning, Febri is awake, pretty much energetic and doesn’t seem to understand that she was very sick last night. The doctor tells Mikoto that Febri is not human. She’s an artificial being, fully created by science !
A very interesting episode. I like that we finally get another fight scene, though it’s just a short one. We finally get a better clue of Febri’s true secret. I’m still waiting, and hoping, that Mugino’s team will be somewhat more involved in this arc.
