Poor Saten, even her rumor sniffer ability is completely beaten.
I was expecting to see few more light episodes before entering the dark arc of Misaka sisters, but seems like they don’t waste episodes for less-important stories, so we go straight to sisters arc this episode. From now on, I will refer the “original” Misaka as Mikoto.
After a rather unique encounter with the mysterious girl from last episode, Mikoto learned that the rumors about level 5 clones she’s been hearing lately is indeed true. And as usual, she decided to find out the truth, alone, by sneaking into the research laboratory. With her ability to control electricity, sneaking in is very easy for her. She makes it into the lab, and read a document that a project of cloning level 5 was indeed exists, the DNA pattern being used is hers, but the project was cancelled due to the fact that the most powerful computer predicted the clones’ abilities as level 2 or level 3. The can not make identical clones, only weaker ones. Just when Mikoto sneaked out from the lab room, one of the sister comes in to erase all research data.
