Nike escapes from the surprise attack using a smart move: turning off the only source of light. I thought she’s only good with magic, but I guess she’s also good with quick thinking. As expected, Livius comes to her rescue. Just by being there, Livius not only endanger his engagement with Nike, but potentially his own position as king.

So Princess Nike and King Livius got out of that dungeon, but and accident breaks Nike’s ring from Livius. I still can’t really see them as a couple (maybe because Livius is just a kid), but I do like how Livius expresses that he’s prepared to give up anything for Nike. I think that’s sweet. Even I do think it’s hard to seriously take that sentence coming from a kid.

The resolve of this conflict is rather unreal, too idealistic. In a grand event with many audiences, Livius and Nike reveal everything, create a sun ring using Nike’s spell, and the bad guy admits his wrongdoings so easily. Then Nike punches him (with bare hand, no magic), then asks for his blessing for her engagement anyway. In no real world situation such scenario would go that way. But I guess it fits this anime’s title too perfectly. It’s an anime to show us the goodness in the world, not necessarily something that makes sense, I guess.

I still like the character development. The overall feeling after watching every episode is still nice. Nike seems to use her magic to summon rain too easily, though.
