In previous episode, Princess Nike was under the impression that Sun King is a scary old man. Turns out the Sun King is just a little boy named Livius. Soon Princess Nike can no longer see Livius as a king anymore. She’s rather annoyed by his speaking tone. Well, he IS a king who conquered the world, so I guess it’s only natural for him to feel powerful. But in Princess Nike’s eyes, he’s simply a spoiled kid. And instinctively she treats him as a younger brother.
The first half of this episode shows some funny first interaction between two very different persons. Livius wants to see a rain. Nike can use magic to summon rain, but she doesn’t want to do that under an “order”. I kinda love how they do the storytelling. It’s nothing fancy, but it works.
Next comes the serious part. Someone tries to kill Livius and Nike saves him at the last second. Princess Nike is injured but she’s ok. King Livius uses the accident to get rid of all traitors within his own people, including that evil general from last episode. Of course, that evil general will not go down without a fight. So when Princess Nike is on the way home under King Livius’ order, there’s a fire at the castle and Livius is in the castle. Nike returns and summons a rain to put off the fire, with a beautiful song I can’t wait to get the full version.
Love this episode ! Even better than the first one ! I’m glad I choose to blog this anime this season.
