This week we get to see Kofuku, also known as Binbougami (God of poverty). She’s a very energetic girl, or at least that’s her appearance. Typical moe character. Plus Toyosaki Aki as her seiyuu makes her character even more loveable. For some reason Yato decides to bring Hiyori and Yukine to see Kofuku.
Though Yato introduces Kofuku as his girlfriend, I think it’s just because she’s one of the few Gods with good relationship with Yato. Kofuku’s shinki takes human form of an scary man. He’s very protective and act more like her father rather than her divine weapon.
Our victim this week is a man committing suicide by jumping off the roof. After meeting a girl, his life turns upside down. The company he works for went bankrupt. All his savings are gone. Yes, you can guess who the girl is… Kofuku !
Ok, now time for some rants. First, how come Yato still needs to eat? I thought he’s a God. What will happen if he doesn’t eat? Will he die? Second, that super long falling sequence doesn’t make any sense. Does Yato use his power to prolong the time before that poor guy hits the ground? Third, how come God of poverty has more money than God of war?

1- Well, they are shinto gods, they receive food as offerings, so I guess they need eat.
2- I guess that Yato will not die, but he will have a very painfull hungry.
3- I think it was made for comedy.
4- Yato is a shinto god, a japanese god. Japan last war ended at 1945, almost 70 years ago. I guess that living at a peacefull country will make any war god unemployed. Take a hint that the poverty goddess is basically being mantained in domiciliar prison.
We can guess that Yato had better luck when Japan was a more violent place. We saw that he normally killed humans when all that samurais were killing one another. And we know that he “killed” the shinki he used for kill humans.
The question I make is: it is Japan’s peacefull times that made Yato an unemployed god or it was Yato that quit his job (“killing” his skinki) making japan a peacefull country?
The answer to that questions probably will move the plot. Maybe we see a flashback from Yato at the end of Second World War and taking the same decision that Destruction from Endless (Gaiman) made.
