The game designed by the warbeasts is actually interesting. All players are given heart-launcher weapons. Using these weapons they can shoot NPCs in the form of animal-eared girls who chase them like someone crazy in love. Shooting them will make them release love power. These love power is like their live point in a game. If a player shoots another player within the same team, the player being shot will temporarily lost control, acting crazily in love with the shooter. If a player shoots another player from opposite team, the player being shot switches side. BUT if the bullet only hits clothing, the piece of clothing being hit disappears and the player is unaffected. The game ends if one of our heroes could shoot Izuna, the only player from warbeast team.
Sora, Shiro and Jibril start the game with testing the effect of shooting each other. Then they use Stephanie to test whether the love bullet can bounce. After that, the real hunt begins. It’s nice to know that Shiro is a sharpshooter with excellent calculation to precisely know where the bullet will end. Shiro vs Izuna battle is fun, ended by Izuna jumping from a tall building to escape. Then we have mid-air shooting scene. Sora shoots Izuna from a really far location and Izuna knows. She can avoid Sora’s bullet while still falling. This is warbeast race’s method of cheating. The old man watching the game from outside the virtual world secretly communicate with Izuna. So Izuna practically have “God-eyes”, knowing any movements of her opponents.
Next, we have Shiro is doing some really complicated calculation on the ground. Just when Shiro finished her calculation, Izuna comes and shoots Sora. Shiro saves Sora, but she takes the love bullet herself. Shiro is converted into Izuna’s ally. With Stephanie practically useless, now imanity’s team only has Sora and Jibril remaining.
With timely help from Jibril, Sora manages to escape. Sora tells Jibril that Shiro just finished her calculation before getting shot. So what happens must be part of her calculation. I was confused at that point. How come some mathematical calculation (that looks like calculus equation) predict such event?
Near end of episode, Sora has one vs. one battle against Shiro. Sora finally shoots Shiro (again in falling down scene). Izuna appears to finish the both. Then it was revealed that Shiro was never Izuna’s ally because she didn’t got shot. Izuna’s love bullet earlier only hit part of her clothes, then Shiro pretended to be under Izuna’s control. Our heroes finally manages to shoot Izuna. Somehow Izuna transforms into a raging creature instead of losing.
That’s a nice trick from Sora and Shiro. Too bad it doesn’t end according to their plan due to Izuna’s sudden transformation. I wonder if they have predicted this transformation too? I wonder if they have prepared another trick on top of this one. Let’s watch the next episode.
