The epic speech from fake Maou.
It’s hard to appreciate a story about strategy when most of the setting details are left in the creator’s head. While this anime still managed to maintain my interest to keep watching, I probably can only appreciate a tiny fraction of its actual story.
Episode 8 is mainly about “negotiation” between Yuusha and the Merchant who set his eyes on Maou few episodes ago. Clearly they are “talking” about something much more important than just enjoying party with girls, but again, I failed to understand.
Episode 9 is about a drama of capturing “Maou” (or at least, her double) ordered by Central Nation’s church. It’s just very typical, something good happens and the current authority doesn’t get enough credits and benefits from it, then just declare it as heretics. Hate to admit it, but it’s kinda effective against those stupid people. After that epic speech, they still have no balls to tell the messenger to leave. They only have the courage to say it after their king declares his stand and the Knight makes Maou a “saint”. Still act like sheep, blindly following jargons and power.
