Illya’s evil was captured. Now we start this episode by giving her a name: Chloe (inspired by kuro = black). To prevent Chloe from killing Illya, Rin and Luvia cast an interesting curse: one way shared pain. Any pain that Illya experienced will be shared to Chloe so she would suffer the same pain. This includes death. So if Illya dies, Chloe will die too. However, it doesn’t work the other way. Pretty convenient, huh? I feel like watching the early episode of Inuyasha when Kagome earned the ability to “tame” him by saying “osuwari” (sit). Lol, that was a timeless scene.

Next comes another question. Apparently Chloe can easily escape the guarded room from Luvia’s mansion. When Illya returns home, Chole is seducing Shirou (Illya’s beloved brother). Then why didn’t she escape before getting that curse?

The way Miyu reacts when she sees Shirou might play important part in later story. So we get a hint that Miyu has a brother too, and Shirou reminds her of him? Plus, Rin and Luvia seem to know Shirou, too. Just how they are related?

Now again with the yuri kisses, Illya gets her next surprise the following day at school. Especially when her friends are complaining how she forcefully kissed them. Illya forcefully kissed her friends? Obviously it was Chloe’s doing. But at this point, they know nothing about two Illyas, yet.

Fortunately, this madness is not for long. Soon they realized there are two Illyas. Chloe quickly introduces herself as Illya’s cousin. We also get to know that kissing is Chloe’s way to gain mana. Still doesn’t make much sense, but at least they finally established some setting for that random kissing.
