Just realized that this is the last episode of this anime. 10 episode is kinda short, don’t you think?
With Illya’s help, the group can defeat Berserker. Rin and Luvia are helping. The magical girls duo perform excellent teamwork. And Berserker is defeated. And that marks the end of this anime. Too simple and too anticlimax for a finale episode, I would say.
As after-story, we get to see Illya and Miyu’s life after the last battle. Both kaleid sticks stay with them, so they remain magical girls (not sure why). Rin and Luvia return to their old rivalry, to the point of destroying a helicopter (their ride home) lol. Miyu becomes friends with Illya. But that doesn’t make her becomes friendly with other classmates. Rather, Miyu becomes possessive towards Illya, branding Illya as the only one she needs. I smell yuri here.
Thankfully, season 2 is confirmed for this anime. So we can expect their adventure to resume. With Rin and Luvia is forced to live in Japan to learn some “common sense”, we know that they will stay around in the next season.
It’s been a nice light story to watch this season. Fate ⁄ Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is funny and entertaining, even though I’m a bit disappointed with such a “flat” ending with very little excitement.
