A lot of interesting stuff in the first half of this episode. First, I just know that Rudy the Kaleid stick has more capability than just turning Illya into magical girl: it can also make voice call and even video call to Sapphire ! Isn’t that very handy? I would choose these sticks over any iPhone or Android smartphone if it’s real, lol.

Illya is sick and taking a day off school. Thanks to Ruby’s video call ability, Illya uncovers Miyu’s little secret. She’s serving as maid in Luvia’s mansion. When I saw the super instant mansion in front of Illya’s house few episodes ago and saw Miyu went there, I thought it’s Miyu’s house. Apparently it’s Luvia’s. And Miyu serves as real maid in that big house.

On the other hand, Illya has some fetish for maid costume. Seeing Miyu in maid costume flips her switch and she turns into a wild predator ready to attack her prey, lol. And I love the priceless moment when Illya’s friends come to visit her and see an amazing scene of undressed Illya pushing defenseless Miyu in maid costume, on bed.

And another applause for another hidden feature of Ruby and Sapphire: a USB sync cable ! Are they magical robots or something?

The second half of the episode back on the usual card hunting business. Today’s enemy can replicate himself into plenty of copies. Illya was poisoned from the card’s throwing weapon, she gets slowed down and in critical danger. Then, once again Illya’s mysterious ability takes control, immediately create a large blast of energy, defeating all the enemies, but also almost killed her teammates. If Miyu didn’t cast a barrier fast enough, Rin, Luvia and herself would have became victims too in the blast.

I got a feeling that Miyu’s anger towards Illya is kinda forced. It’s like, she’s intentionally hurting Illya with her words, but at the same time receive even more “damage” herself. I’m not sure yet. Let’s see what will happen next week.

Overall this episode is like day-and-night episode. Half episode we got a very light-hearted filler, then suddenly the story turns dark and gloomy. Still an interesting progress with lots of potential !
