It’s the Fate characters we know and love. This time, our Fate story takes the concept of magical girl. Our main heroine is Illya, a little girl who is in love with her own older brother.
Our first magical girls are Tohsaka Rin and Luvia, and they’re in really bad terms to each other. One thing different from this mahou shoujo story is the magical wand (called Kaleid stick here). The usual magical wand in almost every anime about magical girl now can talk, can scold its master, can escape on its own, and can trick someone else to become its new master. Rin’s Kaleid stick is called Ruby and Luvia’s Kaleid stick is called Sapphire. After some quarrel between Rin and Luvia, both sticks decide to take their breaks. Yep, they decided to change their masters.
So Ruby and Sapphire is now looking for new masters. Guess who is Ruby’s new master? It’s a girl taking her bath while wishing she has magical power to win her brother’s heart: Illya. So Illya is tricked by Ruby to become its new master, and Rin arrives to take the stick back. While Illya doesn’t mind giving Ruby back to Rin, Ruby refuses to acknowledge Rin back as its master. So, Illya remains as Ruby’s master. And we shall see what will happen next week.
