Still in the same match, and the match is still continuing to next week.

This time, we get a closer look to “the calm and composed” Megumu. While her team-mates try hard to make her Queen, does she really want to be Queen? Apparently not. While she does feel the pressure of her team trying to “raise” her as a new Queen, she plays for a different reason: for the team. It’s fundamentally different from the common motivation of top players. Aiming to become the best sounds like the natural goal, but the journey to the top is usually a lonely one. She’s blessed with a team where she feels home and accepted. She appreciates the fun and togetherness in that team, and if a target to become Queen serves the purpose of maintaining that, then she will gladly take the journey.

Thanks to the trio camera boys, we saw few hints that Megumu is not as innocent as she looks. So I guess on top of enjoying being part of a team, she also likes being the center of attention. That’s why she doesn’t like it when her team-mate tries to take her place as “commander”, even temporarily, and out of good intention.

Chihaya is using this match very well to improve her own skill. As both of Chihaya and Megumu beat each other alternately during this match, I would say their skill is on par. In any competitive sport, it’s always good to practice with an opponent of equal level. I mean, beating weaker opponents will probably boost self-confidence, but not much benefit in self improvement. Challenging stronger opponent might or might not help us improve. But a good session against a good opponent on equal level will most certainly bring us improvement.

Just a little not, the usual “inspired then win” Chihaya doesn’t show up, yet.

Now, anyone feels that this semi-final match is getting too much screen time? I mean, I like watching all the motivational background behind the characters during match. It’s the style of this show and I usually enjoy it. But spreading one match to three episodes? C’mon !
