In The Tristein Academy of Magic, there is one student who never cast a single spell correctly. Most of the time, her spell always turned out to be an explosion. And so Louise get the nickname “Zero Louise” from her friends.
One day, an important ceremony is taken place. In this ceremony, every student is given one single chance to summon a creature to be his/her familiar, bounded by a very sacred contract. After everybody have dragon, frog, salamander and other weird creatures, now it’s Louise’s turn. Everybody is laughing at her since she never can cast anything correctly. But this time, Louise doesn’t fail. She successfully cast a familiar. Wait, does she really successful? Erm, not really, because she doesn’t summon a monster, she summons a human ! A boy from our world, a world without magic at all. Then Saito starts his new days in a total new world. Two moons, arrogant nobles, magic spells, and of course his new position : as a familiar of a zero rate magician, Louise ^_^ Some would say the early part of this anime is somehow similar to Harry Potter. But I think Zero no Tsukaima has its own strong points, and they are unique ! Recommended for all ages. My rating : ★★★★☆ Seiyuu
