Aono Tsukune failed to enter any high school because of his poor grades. Accidentally, his father saw a priest dropped something and picked it. It was a registration to a school named Youkai Academy. And so fate brings Tsukune there, starting the most incredible experience in his life.
Youkai Academy is a school attended by youkai (monsters) in human form. Scared to death, Tsukune tried to escape the school, but the bus which can take him to return to human world only comes once a month. A rule that students are not allowed to reveal their “real” form saved Tsukune for being immediately exposed. He started to make friends. The first one is Akashiya Moka, a very powerful vampire sealed in the body of a very cure girl. The vampire power will be released if her rosario necklace is removed. And apparently Tsukune is the only person who can detach the necklace and “awaken” Moka’s vampire version. Next is Kurono Kurumu, a succubus; then Sendou Yukari, a witch; Morioka Ginei, a werewolf; and Shirayuki Mizore, an ice lady. To me, the story is a bit… weird. But this anime is fun to watch. And I totally like Moka’s vampire version. Recommended for age 15+ My rating : ★★★☆☆ Seiyuu
