A classic anime from 2001 ! Suzuhara Misaki has her first trip to Tokyo since she will attend junior high school there. On her first arrival, she got her interest at a big screen showing a doll battle between a white doll and a black doll named angels. An angel is an electronic doll controlled by a controlling device reading our minds and concentration. According to the controller, angels can move, dance, fight, even make special effects. All the movements can only happen when an angel is put on a special table called a layer. Meeting a stranger named Icchan, Misaki decided to have her own angel. Being a total newbie, Misaki and her angel, Hikaru, ended up participating in an official angelic fight tournament. New adventures await Misaki as she made new friends, learn to control her angel, and try to meet her mom who she never met since childhood. If you like combat scenes, you will love Angelic Layer.
