In overall, this episode is about Suzuno’s inner battle. We had some flashback about her past as an executor, killing people based on order, and she believed that it’s the only way to create order. Emilia has different view. As she’s free from politics, she merely wishes for a peaceful world without having to sacrifice people.
I like how Chiho bravely set an argument with Suzuno. And yes indeed reminds me to the very basic question, what made Maou change drastically when he entered modern Japan?
Speaking about Alsiel’s uselessness, I think he will finally be somehow useful in next episode. Since he’s sick and (I would assume) must go to hospital, he might be able to do something when the battle moves to hospital.
