Kanade hurt her finger in winning her previous match. While Tsukuba did not realize the injury, he did realize how exhausted she was. Chihaya is set against the new girl from Fujisaki team (their opponent in finals). Taichi volunteers to take on Fujisaki’s captain. Interesting.
This episode is rather a warming up episode before the actual match. We get to see a little bit about Fujisaki team and their “scary” coach. Without hesitance, she replaces one of the senior member, breaking the best combo of Fujisaki, and replace it by second-year member. While most people thinks it’s a stupid decision, I kinda agree with her. The player being replaced is already tired after putting too much stress on his previous match. And the new player is her hope on winning the group tournament next year, considering all the seniors would have graduated.
