Continuing from last episode, Yuusha (hero) Emilia is also in modern human world. She followed up Maou when he entered the portal, but her follower didn’t manage to get in. So she’s alone in this “new world”. Survival-wise, Emilia (she uses the name “Emi” in this world) is doing fine, working as call center operator. But emotional-wise, she’s more attached to her “old” world compared to Maou.
Immediately Emilia wanted to kill Maou using a knife purchased in 100 yen store (laugh). Then she followed him around in the next few days trying to “uncover” evil side of Maou. What she gets, of course, is Maou trying to hunt for discounted products due to their limited money.
An interesting twist is when someone tries to kill both Maou and Yuusha using magic bullet. Means, someone who knows magic and knows their identities wants them dead. They manage to escape, but Emi dropped her wallet somewhere and forced to spend a night in Maou’s apartment.
