One of the highest level of quality anime I’ve ever seen. Kanon offer quite a bit different storyline compared to any other ordinary titles.
Aizawa Yuuichi, the main character move into a town. He used to live in that town when he was young (seven years before). But somehow, he couldn’t remember his childhood time here. Living together with his aunt Akiko, and his cousin Nayuki, Yuuichi started his new life. His lost pieces of memory were gained back with smile and tears. Minase Nayuki, Yuuichi’s cousin is a very calm and feminine girl. She seemed to have a crush on Yuuichi. Tsukimiya Ayu, a mysterious girl from Yuuichi’s past suddenly became friends again with Yuuichi. She is cute, nice, and energetic. Very very very kawaii ^_^ Kawasumi Mai and Kurata Sayuri, two close friends, they’re both Yuuichi’s senior at school. Mai has an extraordinary skill of fighting ghosts which usually appears at school during night. Sayuri is a very nice girl who care so much about Mai who always being pointed as troublemaker by the student council. Misaka Shiori, a girl with weak body. The doctors said that she won’t live until her next birthday. And so she want to commit suicide when she met Yuuichi. The coincidence meeting brought her a new reason to keep fighting for her life. Will she be able to survive? Sawatari Makoto, a reborn soul from a baby fox treated by Yuuichi. She was a fox before. One day Yuuichi saw her badly injured from a trap. He treated her until she can walk again. The fox wish to meet Yuuichi so badly, then a miracle happens, she became human for a short time. The cost is her own life. This anime is a remake of Kanon (2002). The 2002 version was made by Toei Animation and the 2006 version was made by Kyoto Animation. All seiyuu (except for Yuuichi’s seiyuu) are the same from the ones doing Kanon 2002. For some reason, I like Sugita Tomokazu‘s version of Yuuichi. If you also watched Haruhi (another great anime from KyoAni), you will find a LOT of similarities between Yuuichi and Kyon. Happiness, friendship, faith, smile, imaginations, sadness, farewell, and lots of tears in Kanon. My five star for this anime !!! Recommended for age 13+ My rating : ★★★★☆ Seiyuu
