Mui tries to save Takeshi from Violet-sensei, but got herself beaten up. Kisaki Ena (Tsuganashi’s ex girlfriend) and her two friends from Camelot group come to rescue.
Takeshi is treated in Camelot’s medical facility in Living world. At first it was a safe place for him since the grand-magic called Gift from Wiseman will punish any magician using magic in normal world. Soon Trailers’ Kippei kills Wiseman and allowing battle between magicians in Living world and Ruined world.
Kazumi’s little sister is taken by people from Inspection Bureau. Usually these people use any means possible to “secure” people with great magic talent. So I guess Futaba is more than just an imouto character. Presumably she will play more important role soon. I’m guessing perhaps she’s the candidate of the next Wiseman?
To my surprise, Youko (Takeshi’s mother) plays an active role again after Lancelot’s leader formally asks her to take over Takeshi’s training. I’m happy that Takeshi’s teacher is now his own mother, but I do feel weird to see them doing training without actually resolving their past issues causing her to act cold to Takeshi for many years.
It seems that for some reason Youko lost her magic. A ring from Lancelot to temporarily allow her to use magic again suggests that her magic was removed as some sort of punishment. Perhaps for the past incident during the first great war. And that ring grants her magic at the cost of her own life force.
At the last scene, Kurumi had a dream that Takeshi is killed, stabbed by Twilight. When she wakes up in an unknown place. She looks into a mirror and find herself in a body that looks exactly like Takeshi.
