Anime First Impressions: Winter 2014 (5)

First impression reviews in this post: Witch Craft Works, Onee-chan ga Kita, Wizard Barristers Benmashi Cecil, Sekai Seifuku ~Bouryaku no Zvezda~, Inari Konkon Koi Iroha

This is the last part of first impressions posts for winter 2014. Sorry it took so long to post this. I intended to post this earlier, but never got time to do so.

Witch Craft Works

An ordinary high school boy (so very typical) discovers that his super popular female classmate is actually a fire witch. On top of that, he suddenly becomes the target of kidnapping by other witches. The setting is rather absurd, but I still find the first episode enjoyable nonetheless.

Watching: maybe.

Onee-chan ga Kita

A short anime, 3 minutes each episode. Story about step-siblings after their parents remarry. The older sister is kinda obsessed with the cuteness of her new younger brother.

Watching: nope.

Wizard Barristers Benmashi Cecil

Our setting is a world where magicians co-exist with normal humans. Co-exist happily? Not exactly. Magicians are subject to projudice by normal people. In cases where magicians are somehow involved, they always get blamed, no matter if they’re actually the victim, or just using their magic as self-defense. Our heroine is a magic lawyer. Special type of lawyer who defends criminal suspects who can use magic.

Watching: yes.

Sekai Seifuku ~Bouryaku no Zvezda~

sekai-seifuku-bouryaku-no-zvezda-fi

A little girl wants to conquer the world. Sounds just like a normal illusion from a kid. Except that this one girl actually has magical power to do so, and has followers to execute her plans.

Watching: it has potential.

Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha

inari-konkon-koi-iroha-fi

A girl named Inari. Inari Shrine. And the real Inari-kamisama. When Inari saves one of Inari-kamisama’s familiar, she gets one wish to be granted and she uses the wish foolishly to become someone else. Since a God can’t grant another wish for her to return to normal, Inari-kamisama gives her part of her power to freely transform into anyone else. Not sure how this is not classified as granting another wish, but it’s a fun setting to start a story anyway.

Watching: yes, love this.
Blogging: no.

And those are our options for this winter of 2014. Of course, we still have other titles continuing from last season: Nagi no Asukara, Kill la Kill, Log Horizon, Phi Brain, Tokyo Ravens, Yowamushi Pedal, Magi season 2 and Samurai Flamenco.
