Kuzuryuu Momoko (daughter of the dragon clan) and Inuzuka Koushi (son of the dog clan) are arranged to married each other by their parents, two leaders of the great 12 clans of martial artists. Momoko is a great martial artist and willing to anything to win Koushi’s heart. Koushi, however, quits martial arts and decided to be a prosecutor. And he really hates martial artists.
And so the story begins. Momoko keeps giving herself to Koushi while he keeps rejecting her. Koushi likes his classmate, Nakajima Sanae, but he doesn’t know that Sanae is actually also a martial artist, daughter of the horse clan. Minamoto Iroha, daughter of the snake clan who originally tried to kill Koushi now falls in love with him. So the weak Koushi now has three ladies from three different clans willing to do anything to protect him, in the name of love, of course, lol. Sumomo mo Momo mo can be translated into “the plums and the peaches too”. 李 (sumomo) means “plum”, 桃 (momo) means “peach”. Somehow the title is not related at all with the story (or maybe it does mean something in Japanese culture, I’m not sure). A very funny anime. Few ecchi scenes and some mild violence. Recommended for age 16+ My rating : ★★☆☆☆ Seiyuu
